Neptune in Virgo from 1928 to 1943. This brought in using drugs for healing and not for addiction, penicillin as an example. This placement has a hard time separating the important details from the unimportant ones. This could show as hypochondriacs. There were lots of faith healers too, people going to faith healers and then still dying of cancer like...a mystical quest for purity. It is hard to distinguish reality from fiction. These people should trust their instincts more, but the Virgo energy does not trust instincts, it is not logical.
